Alina Stefanescu's Ipokimen is the newest addition to our pocket book series—a short sampling of poems in a smaller size. In this small collection you'll find a series of poems inspired by the collected words of Transylvanian polymath Dimitrie Cantemir. Ipokimen is Greek for "thing lying underneath another, such as matter under form, wool under dye."

Alina Stefanescu is a poet who sometimes finds herself in fiction. Her short story, "White Tennis Shoes," won the 2015 Ryan R. Gibbs Flash Fiction Award (New Delta Review). Other stories received Honorable Mention in the 2015 Helen Short Story and the 2014 Glimmer Train Short Story Award for New Writers. Born in Romania, Alina currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with four native mammalian species.

Due to the small size of this book, we are able to use a regular mailing envelope. US residents, Ipokimen will ship for $.50. Everywhere else, it will ship for $1.25USD or at no additional charge if it is part of a larger order.
